FAQ’s About the TESDA Online Program

What is TESDA Online Program?
The TESDA Online Program (TOP) aims to make technical education more accessible to Filipino Citizens thru the use of internet technology. It provides a more effective and efficient way to deliver technical education and skills development services to the majority with less cost and more reach. The program is created for students, out-of-school youths, unemployed adults, workers, professionals, overseas Filipino workers who would like to take TESDA courses at their own pace and at their own time at the comfort of their desktops or laptop computers.

How do I enroll in a course?
In order to access the available courses in the TESDA Online Program website, you must first register an account. For detailed steps on how to register and enroll in a course, please refer to the “How To” section of the website.

Do I need to pay tuition in order to enroll?

The TESDA Online Program is available for FREE, you do not have to pay tuition in order for you to access the courses.
Do we get a certificate of training after completing the online course?
We have developed the online courses for access by as many Filipinos as possible. We are not yet giving any training certificate. However once you finish the course and if you think you are ready, you may take the face-to-face assessment for National Certification at any TESDA accredited assessment center or venue.

Jobseekers Guide: DOLE September 2014 Job Fairs

The ber months are here but it is not yet too late to get a job. According to the Labor Department, they will conduct 20 job fairs for the month of September 2014—in various venues in 16 regions of the Philippines.

Jobseekers are encouraged by Secretary Baldoz to take advantage of these job fairs, saying DOLE-approved job fairs are convenient venues for job seekers and employers to meet.
She said, “Job fairs enable jobseekers to speed up their search for jobs and employers to fast-track their search for skilled and qualified personnel.”

OFW Children: Apply for OWWA Scholarship Now

Scholarship programs are now available to senior high school students who are dependents of overseas Filipino workers.
The Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) is now accepting applications for the Education for Development Scholarship Program (EDSP) and the Congressional Migrant Workers Scholarship Program (CMWSP) for School Year 2015-2016.
Those interested to apply should submit the documentary requirements to OWWA regional offices on or before July 31, 2014.

Member-OFWs with dependents based in Jeddah and Riyadh in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Manama, Bahrain may submit applications to OWWA’s overseas posts in the Middle East.
The qualifying examination, to be administered by the Department of Science and Technology-Science Education Institute nationwide, will be conducted on September 21, 2014. Schedule of examination in Jeddah and Riyadh in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and Manama in Bahrain, will be announced later. 

The EDSP and CMWSP are competitive scholarship programs that grant P60,000 financial assistance per school year to qualified dependents of member-OFWs.
