How To Know If You Are Dealing With A POEA-Licensed Agency?

-->
If you want to work abroad, then one of the first things you must know is if that you should only deal with a POEA- licensed recruitment agency. You see there are so many illegal recruiters and they are always on the lookout for their next victim.

Always verify the legitimacy of the recruiter you are dealing with the POEA. Of course, having a POEA-license does no guarantee that an agency would protect the welfare of deployed OFWs so applicants are also advised to know their rights as a worker. So aside from the status, also be curious about the track record of he agency- how many applicants have they deployed abroad, how’s the condition of their deployed workers, etc. Also check he services that they offer the applicants such as pre-departure assistance and on-site services.

Here are some ways for you to check the status of a recruitment agency.

You can call the POEA hotline number at 722-1144 and 722-1155.

You can check the status of an agency in this link: http://www.workabroad.ph/check_agency_status.php

Good luck on your application!
