The planned transfer of the US military base from Okinawa Japan to Guam would result to a huge and multimillion-dollar construction project that would require the hiring of thousands of foreign workers. Various press releases reported that overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) will be among the first priority for employment. However, this great career opportunity may not push through as different sectors want to stop the military buildup in Guam. No Military Buildup in Guam= Lost Job Opportunities for OFWs! Note: Guam is a US-based territory and a no-placement fee country of destination! WHAT YOU CAN DO There is an ongoing online petition for the military buildup in Guam to push through. They need to garner 15,000 petitions by June 15, 2011! Anyone who is at least 18 years old can sign in the petition.
