POEA Now Allows OFW Deployment Libya, Nigeria & South Sudan


The POEA Governing Board issued three separate resolutions to lift the deployment ban of OFWs in Nigeria, Libya and South Sudan. The POEA would resume the processing of documents of OFWs who wants to work in the three countries mentioned.
The deployment ban to Nigeria is fully lifted because following a report from the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) that the security situation in the country has improved.  
The second POEA resolution fully lifts the ban of OFWs to Libya after the Office of the President approved DFA's recommendation to lower the crisis alert level in Libya from 2 to 1.  
The third resolution from the POEA Governing Board lifts the deployment ban in South Sudan.
The Labor Secretary Said, "The decision to lift the ban in the deployment of OFWs to South Sudan was made in the wake of the DFA's recommendation lowering the crisis alert level in South Sudan from Alert Level 3 to Alert Level 1."
